Umrah Visa Check Online: How to Track and Print Your Saudi Visa

Your Umrah visa is checked and printed on the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa platform, not on your agent's website. This guide walks through the two Visitor Services tools field by field as they appear today, explains why the homepage inquiry box does not work for pilgrims, and what to do when nothing shows.

An Umrah visa check is done on the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa platform at visa.mofa.gov.sa, under Visitor Services, where two tools let you search by passport number and nationality: Search for Submitted Application, which shows whether your application is in the system, and Print E-Visa, which finds an issued visa and prints it. You need your passport number, your nationality and the image code on the screen; an application number or your agent’s Ministry of Hajj reference number helps but is not required. Each screen is described as it read on 18 September 2026.

How do you check your Umrah visa status online?

You check it on the MOFA visa platform by opening Visitor Services and running a search by passport number. The steps are:

  1. Open visa.mofa.gov.sa and switch the language with the English link at the top of the page.
  2. Choose Visitor Services from the three service groups on the homepage.
  3. Open Search for Submitted Application to see whether your application exists, or Print E-Visa if your agent has told you the visa is issued.
  4. Enter your passport number exactly as printed, choose your nationality, type the image code and submit.
  5. If the visa is issued, print it and save a PDF.

Do not type your details into any site other than visa.mofa.gov.sa. Commercial sites copy the layout, charge for a search you can run free, and keep your passport details.

Which MOFA tool do you use for an Umrah visa check?

Use Search for Submitted Application to confirm the application is in the system, and Print E-Visa once the visa is issued. The platform’s Visitor Services page lists both. The Ministry’s e-services catalogue at mofa.gov.sa also lists a Search for Umrah Application service, whose listed beneficiary is Business, meaning your agent.

The Search for Submitted Application form asks for four things before the image code: passport number, current nationality, visa type and port of entry. The visa type list includes Umrah; for port of entry choose the city your agent booked your arrival into, normally Jeddah or Madinah. The form searches applications that have been submitted, which matters: until your agent has submitted yours, there is nothing to find.

Why does the box on the MOFA homepage ask for a registry number?

Because that box is built for the Saudi side of the application, not for the pilgrim. The homepage inquiry section is headed “Inquiry about submitted applications” and asks for an inquiry type (Application Number, Visa Document Number or Visa Application Number), the number itself, a Registry Number, and the image code. The platform’s own note on the registry field says it is the national ID number, the residency (iqama) number or the organisation’s registry number. A pilgrim in Karachi has none of those, so the box returns nothing however carefully the application number is typed.

This is the most common reason an Umrah visa check “does not work”. The remedy is to leave the homepage and open Visitor Services, where the two tools above take a passport number instead. Your agent, as an accredited office, can use the homepage box with its own registry number, which is why the agent can sometimes see a status you cannot.

Can you check your Umrah visa status with your passport number?

Yes. Both Visitor Services tools take your passport number as the main identifier, and Print E-Visa accepts it as either of its two search values. Type it exactly as it appears on the passport’s data page, without spaces, and select the passport’s nationality rather than your country of residence; a Pakistani citizen living in the Gulf who selects the residence country gets no result. If you hold more than one passport, search with the one your agent submitted.

How do you print your Umrah visa from the MOFA platform?

You print it from the Print E-Visa service under Visitor Services, which finds an issued visa from two identifiers and your nationality. The Print E-Visa form shows these fields, in this order:

  1. Device used, with an option for a barcode passport reader. Leave it alone; it is for counters with a reader.
  2. First value, chosen from a list of five: Visa Number, Passport Number, Application Number, Hajj Ministry Reference Number or First Name.
  3. Second value, chosen from the same five options. Pick a different one from the first.
  4. Nationality, from a long country list.
  5. Image code, copied from the picture on the screen.

Three buttons follow: Inquire, Clear Data and Return, with a Close button beside them. The most reliable pairing for a pilgrim is Passport Number as the first value and Visa Number or Application Number as the second, both taken from the message your agent sent. The option Hajj Ministry Reference Number is the number your agent’s Ministry of Hajj booking carries; ask the agent for it if the passport search fails. When the visa appears, print it and save it, because the airline checks the printed visa against the passport at check-in.

What does the result of an Umrah visa check mean?

The platform shows either your visa details, an empty result, or an error, and each has one likely cause. MOFA publishes no glossary of status words on the pages read for this guide, so the table describes what you see rather than a label.

What you seeWhat it meansWhat to do
Visa details, including a visa numberThe visa is issuedPrint it, save a PDF, send a copy to your agent
No resultNot yet submitted, or a field mismatchCheck passport number and nationality, then ask the agent whether the application has been submitted and paid for
Error or page not foundA wrong page address or a platform faultReturn to the homepage and reopen Visitor Services

The application is only visible after the agent has submitted it from its platform account, and submission ends with payment. The platform’s user manual (the Help link at the top of the homepage) shows the accredited office funding an electronic wallet by bank transfer and paying the visa fee and the medical insurance from it, so if your agent says “submitted” but nothing shows, the honest question to ask is whether the fee and the insurance have been paid yet.

What if the Umrah visa check shows nothing?

Nothing showing means the application has not been submitted, or one of your search fields is wrong; it does not mean the visa is refused. Check three things in order: the passport number, character by character against the data page (a zero typed as the letter O is the usual slip); the nationality, which must be the passport’s; and the tool, because the homepage box is the wrong place, as explained above.

If all three are right, ask your agent for the application number and the date the fee was paid, then search again with Application Number as one of the two values in Print E-Visa. If the agent cannot give you an application number, the application has not been submitted, whatever the WhatsApp message said. British passport holders rarely need this check at all, because the eVisa route in our Umrah visa from UK guide delivers the visa by email.

What do you do once your Umrah visa is issued?

Print two copies, save a PDF, and give one copy to your agent. If you booked with us, upload the PDF to the travel documents section of your account alongside your passport scan, so the team on the ground has it before you land, and check the visa’s dates against your flights and hotel. If you are still choosing dates, our Umrah packages show prices in Pakistani rupees when you browse from Pakistan and include the visa; how it works explains the booking steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I check my visa details online?
Yes. On the Saudi MOFA visa platform, under Visitor Services, the Print E-Visa tool finds an issued visa from two identifiers such as your passport number and visa number, plus your nationality and the image code, and displays the visa for printing. The Search for Submitted Application tool confirms that a paid application exists before the visa is issued.

How to download Umrah visa online?
Open Print E-Visa under Visitor Services on visa.mofa.gov.sa, enter two identifiers (passport number and visa or application number), select your nationality, type the image code and press Inquire. When the visa appears, use your browser’s print function and choose save as PDF. Keep one printed copy for the airline and one PDF on your phone.

How many days does an Umrah visa take to show on the MOFA check?
It shows once your agent has submitted the application from its platform account, where the visa fee and the medical insurance are paid from the office’s wallet. The platform does not publish a fixed processing time on the pages read for this guide, so ask your agent for the payment date and search from the following day.

What is the KSA VISA platform shown on the MOFA homepage?
The MOFA homepage carries a banner announcing a beta version of a new platform called KSA VISA at ksavisa.sa, and the Ministry’s e-services catalogue now points its query services there. On the day of writing, the Visitor Services tools described in this guide still run on visa.mofa.gov.sa, so use those until your agent tells you the new platform has replaced them.
