Umrah Cost from Pakistan: What Your Money Actually Buys

What Umrah costs from Pakistan, broken into the six items every trip is made of: visa, flights, hotels by distance from the Haram, Makkah to Madinah transport, food and gifts. Includes our live single-traveller package prices in rupees and an honest look at what a cheap package leaves out.

Umrah cost from Pakistan is the sum of six items: the visa, the return flight from Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad, hotel nights in Makkah and Madinah, transport between the two cities, food, and what you spend on Zamzam and gifts. On 18 September 2026 our own single-traveller packages showed 215,000 rupees for 7 nights (Silver), 363,000 rupees for 10 nights (Gold) and 585,000 rupees for 12 nights (Premium), with the visa and hotels included and flights on top. Flights and spending money move with the season, so two people booking the same package a month apart can pay different totals.

What does the Umrah cost from Pakistan actually include?

Six items make up every Umrah trip from Pakistan. A package bundles the first four and leaves flights and pocket money to you; none of the three inclusion lists on our packages page mentions international airfare.

How much do our Umrah packages cost in Pakistani rupees?

On 18 September 2026 the three single-traveller packages on mypeacetrip.com showed, for visitors in the Pakistan pricing zone, 215,000 rupees for Silver, 363,000 rupees for Gold and 585,000 rupees for Premium, per person. The site detects where you are browsing from and shows rupees to visitors in Pakistan automatically, with a country switcher on the page for other currencies.

What each price buys, as listed on the product pages:

  • Silver, 7 nights (4 Makkah, 3 Madinah): visa, 3-star hotels, shared airport transfers, intercity transfer, 24/7 support.
  • Gold, 10 nights (6 Makkah, 4 Madinah): visa, 4-star hotels near the Haram (Pullman ZamZam Makkah), private airport transfers, Haramain train, guided Ziyarat in both cities.
  • Premium, 12 nights (7 Makkah, 5 Madinah): visa, 5-star hotels steps from the Haram (Raffles Makkah Palace), VIP fast track, private transfers, business-class train, a dedicated guide, daily breakfast.

Ramadan and school-holiday departures carry a seasonal premium, which the product pages show as a separate line rather than folding it into the base price.

How much does the flight from Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad cost?

The flight is the biggest item a package does not fix, and its price varies by season, airline and booking date, so no honest guide can give you one number. A direct flight usually costs more than a one-stop connection through a Gulf hub but saves the better part of a day.

  1. Season sets the floor. Ramadan, the school holidays and the weeks around Hajj are the peak; fares outside them are the lowest of the year.
  2. Lead time sets the discount. Fares booked two to three months ahead are consistently cheaper than fares bought in the final fortnight.
  3. Arrival airport changes the ground plan. Flying into Madinah and out of Jeddah, or the reverse, saves a return leg.

Ask for the fare on your exact dates before you compare packages.

Why does a hotel 500 m from the Haram cost what it does?

A room 500 m from Masjid al-Haram, the Grand Mosque in Makkah, is priced on how many prayers you can comfortably pray inside the mosque, not on the room itself. Five hundred metres is a seven to ten minute walk in normal crowds. At that distance you can return to the hotel after Fajr, rest between Dhuhr and Asr, and still be inside for every iqamah. At 1.5 km the walk is 20 to 25 minutes each way in heat; most pilgrims at that distance stay in the mosque between prayers or skip one, and older pilgrims fall back on a hotel shuttle that runs to its own timetable and sits in traffic before prayer.

That is the mechanism behind the tiers:

  • Inside the first ring (the clock tower complex and the towers on the mosque boundary): every prayer in the Haram with no planning. Agents block-book these rooms months out, which is why they cost the most and sell out first, especially for Ramadan.
  • 500 m to 1 km: still walkable for every prayer, with a slower return at Isha when the crowd leaves at once. This is where good 4-star value sits.
  • 1 km to 2 km, and Aziziyah beyond it: a shuttle or taxi per round trip and, in practice, fewer prayers in the Haram. The room is cheap because the distance is the cost.

Our guide to hotels near Masjid al-Haram lists properties by distance so you can see which tier a quoted hotel belongs to. In Madinah the same logic applies, and because Rawdah visits run on timed permits, a central hotel matters for reaching your slot without a taxi.

How much is Makkah to Madinah transport?

The intercity leg costs the least of the six items and is included in all three of our packages. The Haramain High Speed Railway serves Makkah, Jeddah Al-Sulimaniyah, Jeddah Airport, King Abdullah Economic City and Madinah, and the official booking site shows fares only after you search a date and class, so any train fare quoted by an agent is a snapshot, not a fixed price. Coaches take longer; a private car costs the most. The trade-offs are compared in our guide to Makkah to Madinah transport options.

The stations sit outside the central areas of both cities, so a train ticket always needs a transfer at each end; Gold and Premium include those. The train allows each passenger one large bag up to 25 kg and 65 x 55 x 35 cm plus one item of hand luggage, according to the operator’s baggage rules, one more reason to pack light using our Umrah packing list.

How much should you budget for food, Zamzam and gifts?

Budget food per day rather than per trip, because the two cities price differently. Around the Haram, hotel restaurants charge hotel prices; the food streets and the malls beside the mosque are far cheaper, with Pakistani restaurants a few minutes’ walk away. Madinah is cheaper than Makkah for the same meal. Premium includes breakfast and full board is an add-on on every tier, which fixes the largest variable.

Zamzam and gifts are the item most people under-budget. Zamzam is bought sealed on the way out and airlines set their own carry rules, so check yours. Dates, prayer beads, attar and prayer mats for a wide circle add up quickly; set a figure before you leave and keep it separate from food money.

What does a cheap Umrah package leave out?

A low headline price usually leaves out five things. This list comes from the add-on and exclusion lines on our own product pages, where meals, private transport, Haram-view rooms and guided tours are options.

  1. Shared transfers instead of private. A shared coach waits until it fills, which after a late-night landing can mean an hour at Jeddah before you move.
  2. Distance instead of walking. The hotel’s distance is not stated on the quote. Ask for the hotel name and check it against the tiers above.
  3. Coach instead of train. Fine, but a longer day.
  4. No meals, no Ziyarat, no guide. Each is an add-on; add the ones you want before comparing.
  5. Seasonal premium at checkout. A price that does not mention the season is a price for the quiet months.

Our Silver package is the honest version of a cheap package: visa, hotels, transfers and support are in, and the rest is stated as options. Add what you will use, then compare that total with Gold, where most of it is already included.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a 7 day Umrah cost?
Our 7-night Silver single-traveller package showed 215,000 rupees per person for visitors in Pakistan on 18 September 2026, covering the visa, 3-star hotels in both cities, shared airport transfers and the intercity transfer. Add the return flight from your city and your food and gift money for the full cost.

How much does a 21-day Umrah package cost from Pakistan?
A 21-day Umrah is priced by adding hotel nights to a shorter package, so the cost depends almost entirely on the hotel tier and the season of the extra nights. We do not list a 21-day package on our site today; contact us with your dates and preferred distance from the Haram and we will quote it in rupees.

How much will it cost to do Umrah?
It costs the visa, the return flight, the hotel nights, the Makkah to Madinah transport, food and gifts. In September 2026 our packages covered the first four items from 215,000 rupees (7 nights, 3-star) to 585,000 rupees (12 nights, 5-star) per person for visitors in Pakistan. Flights and personal spending sit on top and change with the season.

What is the price of a PIA Umrah ticket in 2026?
PIA fares from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to Jeddah and Madinah change with the season, the booking date and the route, so there is no single 2026 price to quote. Ramadan and school-holiday departures are the dearest. Ask for the fare on your exact dates before comparing packages, since our packages do not include the flight.
